So yesterday I attempted to work on my first drawing in the 13 drawing series; however, little did I know that composite charcoal is extremely difficult to work with on the paper I chose to use. The charcoal would not stick to the paper, and the slightest nudge would send the charcoal scooting on the paper. It was also not possible to create more than two shades of gray using an eraser, because, even with the slightest pressure, almost all of the charcoal got wiped off. Needless to say, I will be starting over again using different materials.
